More than love for extra virgin olive oil

The olive grove, the olive tree and the extra virgin olive oil also represents sustainability. For this reason, our company has a challenge to develop products which always have the  criteria of respect for our ecosystem and the environment. For this reason, our company works to develop products that favor a circular economy model. To achieve this sustainability, we put our focus on:

Materials

The selection of materials is becoming more and more important. For this we highlight two basic aspects. One, the nature of these. Ideally, it is compostable and, in the worst case, biodegradable in the short term. If this is not possible, we look for non-polluting materials that can be reused or recycled. Two, its origin. Materials whose production or extraction is sustainable or that have been recycled or can be reused will be sought. Using this method we can encourage  the transition to the circular economy .

Product life and reuse

Part of the obligation of companies is to design their products so that they last over time and do not have short-term obsolescence (are more durable). And, if this is the case, there is a responsibility so that these products are made up of parts that can be reused. Therefore, our company always tries to create products that, either, are of good quality to have a long useful life, or that have a secondary function to the first and initial one, with which we would give it a second life.  Finally, they are reusable or, at least, their components are capable of being so.

CO2 reduction

Another factor to take into account in our company is saving resources and reducing CO2 emissions. For this, we are investing in energy savings in our facilities and we carefully analyze the impact of the manufacture and supply of our products that is reflected in the carbon footprint.
